NEIGHBORS, Justice.

This is an interlocutory appeal. The People challenge the trial court’s order suppressing one of two incriminating statements made by the defendant. We affirm.

The defendant is charged in an amended information filed in the District Court for Montezuma County with two counts of first-degree murder. 1 The People allege that the defendant killed Lawrence Rignal Robinson, Jr. (Big Larry) and Lawrence Rignal Robinson, III (Little Larry) on January 11, 1982, at their residence east of Tot-ten Lake near Cortez, Colorado.
