Plaintiffs, as beneficiaries of a life insurance policy issued to their 16-year-old son, seek recovery from defendant, a fraternal benefit society, under the double indemnity provision of the insurance policy. The issue presented on this appeal is whether defendant’s agent had the apparent authority to enter into an oral agreement with plaintiffs wherein the agent promised to give to plaintiffs notice upon default in the payment of any premium in addition to the standard notice given by the company.
