The petitioner, Kelvin Walker, seeks a writ of habeas corpus under 28 U.S.C. § 2254 alleging that his Sixth Amendment rights were infringed when he was jointly tried and convicted in state court along with a co-defendant who was represented at trial by the same attorney. Petitioner contends that he and a co-defendant had conflicts of interest which prevented his trial attorney from providing effective assistance of counsel.
