Plaintiff (respondent) seeks recovery of damages in the sum of $10,000 for personal injuries suffered in a collision between a street car, operated by the agents and servants of the defendant receiver, and a Ford automobile (of the coupe type), owned and driven by plaintiff. The collision occurred about 8:15 o'clock on the evening of January 22, 1925, at the intersection of Chouteau Avenue and Eighteenth Street (north of Choteau Avenue) in the city of St. Louis.
