MEMORANDUM OPINION
J. MICHAEL DEASY, Bankruptcy Judge.
I. INTRODUCTION
On March 13, 2002, the Court held a hearing on an Objection to Claim of Exemption filed by Canopache Cottages Association (“Canopache”). 1 Canopache was objecting to a federal exemption the Debt- or claimed pursuant to 11 U.S.C. § 522(d)(1) (hereinafter the “Federal Exemption”). The Debtor had claimed the exemption by filing Debtor’s Notice of Amendment to Schedule C (the “Notice of Amendment”) on December 21, 2001. See Doc. No. 62.
