BEAM, Circuit Judge.

Gregory Scott (Scott), a former deputy, was terminated shortly after he participated in an internal sexual harassment investigation. He sued his employer, the Ramsey County Sheriffs Department (County), for discriminatory retaliation in violation of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, as amended, 42 U.S.C. §§ 2000e-2000e-5 and in violation of the Minnesota Human Rights Act (MHRA), MinmStat. §§ 363.01-14.
