In this action the plaintiff sought to recover damages for the conversion of an automobile from the defendant Cozzolino, the proprietor of a garage to which the automobile had been taken for repairs, and from the other defendant, Connor, an officer who had attempted to attach it. Cozzolino filed a counterclaim seeking to recover for storage of the car. The jury rendered a verdict for the plaintiff against Cozzolino on the complaint and counterclaim, and in favor of Connor.
