Defendants were convicted by the verdict of a jury in the recorder’s court of the city of Detroit of the crime of murder in the first degree;. They were charged in the information filed against them with feloniously killing and murdering by shooting one Leo Ciesielski on December 31, 1919. Ciesielski was a fireman serving in the Detroit fire department. On the morning of December 31st he left his fire station on leave of absence for the day.
