Property of the Broadway Manufacturing Company was injured by water overflowing from Three Mile creek, in Leavenworth, on the night of July 5, 1904. The company claimed that the overflow was caused by two bridges over the stream, one belonging to the city and the other to the Leavenworth Terminal Railway and Bridge Company, and by a trestle-work viaduct of the Leavenworth & Topeka Railway Company extending along the bed of the stream between the two bridges.
