I. INTRODUCTION

This matter comes before the court on the defendant’s motion for summary judgment. The pro se plaintiff, an African-American woman, brings this action against her employer, the United States Government Accountability Office (“the defendant” or “the GAO”), asserting claims of disparate treatment based on race and gender and a hostile work environment, pursuant to Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (“Title VII”), 42 U.S.C. §§ 2000e et seq.
