The purpose of this action was to establish and charge upon the premises described in the complaint a vendor’s lien for the amount of the consideration or purchase price agreed to be paid therefor by the defendant Henrickson. On the thirty-first of December," 1897, the plaintiff was the owner-of the premises in question. On that day he duly conveyed them to the defendant named, by quitclaim deed.
