HOLLAND, Justice:

The appellant, Raymond Radulski (“Ra-dulski”), is an attorney who was appointed by the Superior Court to act as the guardian ad litem for Mary Louise Taylor (“Taylor”). Following a hearing on June 17, 1987, the Superior Court issued an order dated June 19, 1987, finding Taylor to be mentally ill and committing her involuntarily to the Delaware State Hospital (the “Hospital”) pursuant to the provisions of 16 Del.
