[¶ 1] Rollin Woodruff (Woodruff) and Michael Woodraska (Woodraska) appeal the circuit court’s conclusion that their appeals are moot. We affirm.

FACTS AND PROCEDURE

[¶ 2] Woodruff was involuntarily admitted to the Human Services Center (Center) on October 25, 1995, after he assaulted a nurse and a security guard at the Mitchell hospital. Shortly thereafter, a hearing was held before the Yankton County Board of Mental Illness (Board).
