There has been an inordinate delay in the submission of the appeal in this case, which is from a judgment of conviction and sentence to imprisonment in the penitentiary for a term of seven years, rendered on September 14, 1971. The appeal was taken promptly thereafter. A motion for a new trial was filed, which was overruled by the trial court on October 13, 1971.
