The appellant was convicted by a special court-martial consisting of a military judge alone of conspiracy to make a false official statement, absence without authority, violation of a lawful general regulation, and the making of checks without sufficient funds (13 specifications), in violation of Articles 81, 86, 92 and 123a, Uniform Code of Military Justice, 10 U.S.C. §§ 881, 886, 892 and 923a, respectively.
