Defendants were charged with unlawful possession of marijuana.* A motion to suppress evidence as to all the defendants was *331filed on March 5, 1971; a hearing was held on March 8, 1971. Subsequently, the trial court entered an order suppressing the evidence and quashing the informations. The people’s appeal from the quashal is here by leave of the Court. The facts leading to this appeal are as follows:
