E. L. White, Inc. and the City of Huntington Beach were unsuccessful codefendants in two lawsuits, a wrongful death action and a personal injury action, both of which arose from the same accident. After paying half of the judgments in both cases, Royal Globe Insurance Companies (White’s insurer) and White filed suit against Huntington Beach for indemnity.
