State v. Roberts

Defendant appeals from his conviction, following trial by jury, of kidnapping in violation of 13 V.S.A. § 2401. We affirm.

On February 23,1984,28-year-old Mark Knapp was reported missing by his parents after he had failed to return home the previous night. That evening, police discovered his abandoned car, a Ford station wagon, with the keys in the ignition. Knapp’s body was discovered on, the following day, lying on the ice at the bottom of an abandoned quarry.
