This is an appeal by Stephen Gray from a conviction and sentence rendered upon a jury verdict in the Lima Municipal Court for a violation of R.C. 4511.19(A)(1), driving while intoxicated.
On January 29, 1992, appellant was stopped by Trooper Franklin for speeding. As he spoke with appellant, the trooper noticed an odor of alcohol and that appellant’s eyes were bloodshot and glassy. The trooper asked appellant to return with him to the cruiser, where the trooper was able to positively identify a strong odor of alcohol. Appellant performed two field sobriety tests.
