Paul W. Brosman, Judge:

The accused, Olvera, was tried and convicted by an Army general court-martial sitting in Germany of a violation of the Uniform Code of Military Justice, Article 128(&) (2), 50 USC § 722, in that he committed an aggravated assault on the person of one Lockhart, by cutting him about the face and body with a knife, thereby intentionally inflicting grievous bodily harm. The court sentenced him to be confined at hard labor for four years, to forfeit all pay and allowances, and to be dishonorably discharged. The convening authority approved the findings…
