Plaintiff brought this action to recover damages for breach of an alleged oral contract under which he claims to have been employed as manager of defendant’s Detroit branch for the year 1918. The trial court sustained objections to the plaintiff’s offered evidence of his contract on the ground that the authority of a director named Ryan with whom the contract was claimed to have been made had not been shown.
