Plaintiff brought this action pursuant to 42 U.S.C. § 1983, alleging that defendants violated his right under the Eighth Amendment to the United States Constitution to be free from deliberate indifference to his medical needs. Defendants are the State of Connecticut Department of Corrections, Christopher Pelkey, Warden at the Cheshire Correctional Facility (“Cheshire”); and Steven Stein, the medical doctor responsible for the provision of medical services to the inmates at Cheshire.
