This is a medical malpractice case in which the jury returned a verdict of no cause of action in favor of the defendants. Plaintiffs appeal from the judgment entered on this verdict.

Plaintiff Cecilia Hilyer was admitted to Riverside Osteopathic Hospital, which is owned and operated by Detroit Osteopathic Hospital, for a female sterilization procedure known as a tubal ligation, for which she had given written consent.
