By a series of local Acts enacted prior to the adoption of the 1935 constitutional amendment hereinafter referred to, the compensation of the treasurer of Orangeburg County was fixed at sums (varying from year to year) that are less in amount than the salary provided for the treasurer of that county by Section 2700 of the Code of 1932, and the amendments thereto.
