Edith Gill brought this diversity action against Rollins Protective Services Company (“Rollins”) on behalf of herself and her husband for damages resulting from the burning of their house in which Rollins had installed a fire alarm system. Upon Rollins’ motion, United Services Automobile Association (“USAA”), the Gills’ subrogat-ed home insurer, was joined to the suit as a real party in interest.
