MEMORANDUM OPINION
BLAKE, District Judge.
Now pending are the defendants’ motion to amend answer and affirmative defenses; motion for summary judgment; motion for sanctions; and motion to strike plaintiffs’ response. For the reasons that follow, these motions will be Granted.
The undisputed facts of this ease are that the individual defendant, a doctor at Prince George’s County Hospital Center, on October 21, 1993 made an inappropriate race-based comment directed at the two plaintiffs, both then Hospital employees.
