I. BACKGROUND
Plaintiffs Intellectual Ventures I LLC and Intellectual Ventures II LLC (collectively,- “IV”) brought this patent-infringement suit against Defendants Symantec Corporation and Veritas Technologies (collectively, “Symantec”). IV asserts that Symantec’s WR product infringes claims 25 and 33 of U.S. Patent No. 5,537,533 (see D.I. 297 at 2 & n. 1), which describes and claims a system for remote mirroring of digital data from a primary server to a remote server.
