The defendant was convicted of the crime of arson in the second degree in the district court of Salt Lake county, and sentenced to an indeterminate term of imprisonment in the State Prison.
The information contained two counts. The first charged arson in the second degree. The second charged the burning of certain household furniture insured for the sum of $1,200, with intent to defraud the insurer. The defendant pleaded not guilty.
