QUILLEN, Judge.

The case comes before the Court on defendant’s Motion to Dismiss for failure to effect service within 120 days of filing the complaint, as required by Superior Court Civil Rule 4(j). Interwoven with this Motion are two additional issues. The first is whether the defendant’s attempted special appearance, a practice long-discarded in Delaware, constituted a general appearance.
