The applicant, Angelo Ramirez, appeals from the denial of his third application for postconviction relief, contending he was deprived of those constitutional rights that guard against ineffective assistance of counsel and multiple punishments for the same offense. This case came before the Supreme Court for oral argument pursuant to an order directing the parties to show cause why the issues raised in this appeal should not be summarily decided.
