KRUPANSKY, Circuit Judge.

Defendant-appellee Ortho Pharmaceutical Corporation (Ortho) appealed from a judgment for plaintiffs-appellees Rene Bey-ette (Beyette) and her husband Ronald Bey-ette (R. Beyette) entered pursuant to a jury verdict in this diversity action for personal injuries under Michigan law.

During all times relevant to this dispute, Ortho manufactured and distributed an intrauterine device (IUD) known as the Lippes Loop (Lippes Loop).
