LAVINE, J.

The sole issue in this appeal is whether the trial court properly exercised personal jurisdiction over the defendants, a South Carolina law firm and its two principals, whose only contact with Connecticut was their mailing of two unanswered letters of representation to a commercial establishment in Connecticut. On appeal, the defendants claim that the court improperly denied their motion to dismiss for lack of personal jurisdiction.
