This case originated as a class action suit by Albert and Sharon Bruno against United First Federal Savings & Loan Association (First Federal). The Brunos claim they, and other members of the proposed class, suffered monetary damages by First Federal unlawfully charging assumption fees and higher interest rates as a condition of permitting assignment of mortgage loans.
