The questions raised by these interlocutory appeals which were authorized by a single justice of this court are whether the amendments to G. L. c. 208, §§34 and 37, effected by St. 1982, c. 642, permit a probate judge to order the payment of alimony in a case involving a foreign divorce which antedates the amendments. The husband appeals from the denial of his motion to dismiss the wife’s complaint for alimony brought in Massachusetts pursuant to G. L. c. 208, § 34, and from two temporary orders for the payment of alimony, one issued under G. L. c. 208, § 34, and a subsequent order issued…
