Contrary to her pleas, a panel of officer and enlisted members sitting as a general court-martial convicted Hospital Corpsman Third Class (E-4) Allyssa Simmermacher of wrongfully using cocaine and making a false official statement, in violation of Articles 112a and 107, Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ), 10 U.S.C. §§ 912a, 907. Simmer-macher was sentenced to a reduction to E-3 and a bad-conduct discharge.
