A jury found defendant guilty of robbery in the first degree committed while defendant was armed with a pistol. Defendant appeals from the judgment entered pursuant to the jury verdict and from an order denying his motion for a new trial. There is evidence to support the verdict, but the testimony of the prosecuting witness, victim of the asserted robbery, is, to say the least, unusual, and the evidence as to whether the crime was committed and also as to the credibility of the important witnesses is in sharp conflict.
