SCOTT, J.

George I. Benny appeals from the denial of his petition for writ of mandate, wherein he sought an order that the City Clerk of Alameda certify approval of his tentative subdivision map. Appellant contends that ordinances of the City of Alameda requiring compliance with certain conditions before a tentative subdivision map can be filed are in violation of the state Subdivision Map Act (Gov. Code, § 66410 et seq.).
