Affirming.

The appellee, Josephine Verst, brought an action .-against the City of Louisville to recover general dam.ages in the sum of $5,000 and special damages in the .sum of $3,000 resulting from an accident in which she fell on a sidewalk and received serious injuries. She .alleged that the sidewalk was defective. The jury returned a verdict for $8,000 in favor of the plaintiff, and from the judgment entered thereon the City appeals.
