Defendants appeal as of right from the trial court’s November 9, 2000, order granting summary disposition in favor of plaintiff in this action brought pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act (foia), MCL 15.231 et seq. We vacate and remand.

Plaintiff commenced the present action in the Wayne Circuit Court on March 15, 2000, alleging that defendants violated the foia by failing to provide plaintiff with information concerning the dealings of defendant Policemen and Firemen Retirement System of the City of Detroit (hereinafter retirement system) with Demitrios “Jim” Papas, Ted Gatzaros, and…
