MOORE, Justice:
This case is before us on a writ of certiorari to review the *255Court of Appeals’ decision1 reversing the jury’s verdict on the ground of inflammatory argument by counsel. We take this opportunity to clarify the narrowness of our holding in Toyota of Florence, Inc. v. Lynch, 314 S.C. 257, 442 S.E.2d 611 (1994), and reverse.
