This is an action to recover for the conscious suffering and death of the plaintiff’s testatrix, alleged to have been caused by the negligence and gross negligence of the defendant’s employee;
On February 9, 1920, the décedent, Frances Belle Gifford, entered a taxicab of the defendant on Boylston Street, in Boston, which was being operated in the defendant’s business by one of its employees. The testatrix having deceased on March 24, 1920, her daughter, Mildred Webster, was permitted to testify at the trial, under R. L. c. 175, § 66, now G.
