OPINION

HOWARD, Chief Judge.

This is a welfare fraud case. Appellant applied for food stamps on September 18, 1980, stating in his application that neither he nor anyone else in his household had any income. He was certified as eligible for food stamps for six months, beginning in October. On October 18, 1980, appellant applied for Aid for Dependent Children (AFDC) benefits, again stating that neither he nor his wife was employed, and was certified to receive $244 a month for his four children.
