Arkansas Louisiana Gas Company and United States Fidelity & Guaranty Company, its carrier, appeal from a ruling of the Workers’ Compensation Commission that Jerry Grooms’ claim for disability benefits was not barred by the two year limitation of Ark. Stat. Ann. §81 -1318 (Repl. 1976). They contend first that the Administrative Law Judge erred in withdrawing sua sponte a stipulation of the parties as to the date of “injury” and in basing his decision on a principle of law not advanced or relied on by either party, and secondly that the Commission exceeded its…
