Lydia Cropper, a colored woman, filed a bill of complaint in the Circuit Court for Worcester County against James E. Lambertson and Winfield Landing, in which she sought to have impressed upon a parcel of real estate, located in Pocomoke City, a resulting trust in her favor. She alleged that she had paid the entire purchase money for the property, and that James E. Lambertson had caused the deed for the property to be given to him and had refused to convey the property to her.
