On the 26th day of July, 1937, the plaintiff filed his action against the defendant seeking to obtain damages for the breach of a contract for services as an attorney. An answer was filed on behalf of the defendant. This answer was a general denial unverified. On the 28th day of March, 1940, a judgment was rendered for the plaintiff for $2,000, and the same was declared to be a lien against the real property of the defendant.
