This is an appeal from the trial court’s order granting to respondents (hereinafter referred to as plaintiffs) judgment notwithstanding the verdict and a new trial, following a jury verdict favorable to appellants (hereinafter referred to as defendants).

This action is one of two initiated by plaintiffs against defendants (the second being on behalf of plaintiffs’ minor children as passengers).
