This suit was upon three promissory notes, signed by appellant Kaufman Oil Mill, payable to tbe order of “ourselves,” and indorsed on the back thereof, “Kaufman Oil Mill, by W. T. Conley, Secretary and Treasurer,” one of said notes being in the principal sum of $5,000, and two of said notes being in the principal sum of $10,000 each. Said notes were each dated May 1, 1926, and due September 1, 1926, and were transferred to appellee before maturity.
