This is a suit in equity. The plaintiff, a corporation, in 1868 brought a suit in equity in this court against the defendant, the Windsor Manufacturing Company, a corporation, and one Lamson, for the infringement of letters patent. The defendants appeared and answered, issue was joined, proofs were taken by both parties, the case was heard, and on the seventh of October, 1870, an interlocutory decree was entered in favor of the plaintiff, directing a recovery of profits, and referring it to a master to take *569and report an account of such profits.
