We first note that defendant Thomas failed to set out and discuss his eighth assignment of error in his appellate brief; defendant King failed to set out and discuss his third, fourth, eighth, sixteenth and seventeenth assignments of error in his appellate brief; and defendant Christmas failed to set out and discuss his fourth, sixth, sixteenth, eighteenth and twenty-first assignments of error in his appellate brief, thereby abandoning them.
