These companion cases were brought under the Federal Tort Claims Act, 28 U.S. C.A. § 921 et seq., 1 one by a 14 year old boy, by his father and next friend, for personal injuries caused by a pistol wound inflicted accidentally through the negligence of Herbert S. Priddy, a member of the U. S. Navy, and the other by the father of the boy for the loss of services and the cost of medical care and treatment of his son.
